Opening the crate when it finally arrived...lots of stuff to unpack :)

So that brings our epic journey to an end...6 days, thousands of kilometers, hundreds of litres of petrol and only one other person to talk to...hehe. Thanks for tuning in, hope u enjoyed re-living as much as we did living...

First glimpses of tassie from the boat..

The Red Rocket drives aboard the Spirit (its first ever ocean adventure??) and we settle back for a looooong day of watching the waves go by, leaving Melbourne behind, waiting to arrive in
Devonport at about 6pm...The Pulsar looked reasonably happy to be parked on a boat. Ben spent the entire day reading Motor magazines and watching
Indy (boring car racing stuff) and eating food. Luckily there was a lady with schizophrenia and some jetskiiers to keep the rest of the world entertained. Some people went green on the boat, I can't believe they felt sick, the boat was going so slow...

Arriving in Melbourne...we have swapped the ocean and mountains for a bit of concrete jungle, busy roads, traffic and bridges. Here is our little home for the night as well, the Rydes Hotel. We had a nice little evening shopping expedition (well I did, don't know about Ben) and dinner on Lygon St. Watched some footy in the evening, as you do on a Friday nite and got ready for the big boat ride the next day...

Top 2 photos here are famous for being Bell's Beach..

This is the real part of the Great Ocean Rd, Road being the operative word. Ben was driving. No further explanation needed.

Welcome to Apollo Bay (very yuppie this place). Has nice mountains in the back, a beach out the front and nice greenage inbetween. Nice mainstreet with yuppie cafe's and stuff. We stopped to post some postcards and bought some fruit ( we ran out! ). And theres lots of these signs to ensure that drivers stay on the left in Australia...yeah mate.

For the energetic...

Alright this is really the 12 Apostles now. I'm not sure what the others photos are, other bits of rock in water I guess that weren't important enough to be apostles. Its really exciting being at a famous place...took heaps of photos but I won't include them all duh. I was very disappointed when we left because I thought Ben could have at least popped the question there cos it was all nice and romantic. But no, obviously not good enough...little did i know then.. Anyway you can really see the crumbled apostle on one of these photos - really must have had a bad day.

More stops along the Great Ocean Rd (let me know if this is getting boring)...

12 Apostles...actually I think there are only 11 now...spot the crumbled one :)
